After 25 years of fun and festivities, the organizers of Mishicot’s Riverfest have announced that the event will not be happening for the foreseeable future.
In a post on the Mishicot Riverfest Facebook page, it was stated that they have “worked our butts off and we had a blast doing it and bringing the community a wonderful event for all those years, but those of us that planned, organized, and worked on the event simply ran out of gas.”
While the event is not happening this year, the organizers hope that “someone younger and creative will pick up the ball and run with it” and that they would be more than willing to pass on their knowledge.
They closed by saying “Our sincere thanks to everyone who supported Riverfest down through the years, and to our fantastic vendors and business partners. When we were good, we were VERY good. We had one of the very BEST events around for many years! Now it’s time to look to the FUTURE! Forward!”
