
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers outlasted the Quad Cities River Bandits 3-2 last night.
The Rattlers Started off the scoring in the 3rd when Ernesto Martinez Jr. singled in a runner, but it was the pitching staff for both teams that shined until the 8th.
Wisconsin starter Stivin Cruz only allowed two hits through his 5 innings, while Bandits started Mason Barnett allowed 3 hits through 7 innings.
The Rattlers would get after reliever Cruz Nortiega right away, notching a pair of runs in the 8th, but the Bandits struck back with one run in both the 8th and 9th, but could not complete the comeback.
With the win, the Rattlers improve to 30-39 on the season but are on a four-game win streak.
Both teams will return to Modern Woodmen Park at 6:30 this evening for game three of their five-game series.
Tyler Woessner will battle Adrian Alcantara on the mound.
