Timothy Wilson, a mailman in western Wisconsin, has been sentenced to two years of probation instead of prison time for methamphetamine possession charges.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wilson in February 2020 while he was on his mail route and discovered methamphetamine in his possession.
The report does not indicate whether he was involved in distributing methamphetamine along his postal route.
The authorities found approximately $1,000 in cash on Wilson when he was arrested.
Wilson pleaded guilty to the charges of meth possession.
The judge’s decision to sentence him to probation instead of prison suggests that the court considered factors such as Wilson’s age, his criminal record, and other circumstances surrounding the case.
