The following article was written by Therese Horstketter with the Manitowoc Public Library.
Effective immediately, Manitowoc Public Library temporarily will not be accepting donations. This includes not accepting small-volume donations at our Service Desk or larger-volume, by-appointment donation drop-offs.
Under normal circumstances, we always appreciate nice donations. But, we have so much volume stored-up for our Friends of Manitowoc Public Library Used Book Sale in July—as well as what we have in-place on our Book Sale Shelves on the First Floor near the Self-Check Kiosks—that we need to take a break, get caught up, and then clear out some space once the Used Book Sale wraps-up.

In the meantime, we’d be happy to see you at the Used Book Sale in July. In case you’re in the market to acquire more books rather than dropping them off as donations, here are the hours for the Sale:
- Thursday, July 13, Noon to 7:30 PM
- Friday, July 14, 9 AM to 5:30 PM
- Saturday, July 15, 9 AM to 2:30 PM (Stuff-a-Bag!)
- Cash or Local Check Only!
We will begin accepting donations again on Monday, August 7. Please refer to the guidelines on our website (www.manitowoclibrary.org/donate-books) or give us a call with questions at 920-686-3010.
Thanks for your understanding, not to mention your purchasing and donating!
