A Virginia man has been sentenced in Brown County after he moved to Green Bay to sexually assault a child.
Stanley J. Seifert III previously pleaded guilty to charges of Child Enticement and Receiving Child Pornography and was ordered to spend 20 years in prison followed by 20 years of extended supervision.
Seifert reportedly was living in Virginia when he met a 15-year-old girl on an online gaming platform.
He chatted with her for months, with authorities saying he groomed her before moving to Green Bay last year.
After moving to Wisconsin, he bought the teen a cellphone and would pick her up to would take her to a secluded area to engage in sex.
The case came to light when the victim’s mother walked in on her child on a video call with Seifert, who was directing her to perform sexual acts.
He was later arrested in Michigan.
