
The Green Bay Rockers split a doubleheader with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters yesterday at Capital Credit Union Park.
Game one went to the Rafters 11-4, as they were able to score three runs in the 1st, 6th, and 9th innings, and held the Rockers scoreless until the 4th.
In the nightcap, the Rockers pulled out to a 6-2 lead in the 5th, but game up three runs in the 6th.
Jacob Faulkner and Tyler Horvath would close out the game, only giving up one more hit in the final three and two-thirds innings and securing the 6-5 victory.
Offensively, Carlos Hernandez went a combined 4 for 8 and knocked in a pair of runs, while Mateo Matthews would go 3 for 8 while also bringing home two runners.
The Rockers, who hold the top spot in the Great Lakes West Division at 15-9, will hit the road today, as they take on the Madison Mallards at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 with Grayson Walker slatted to battle Tommy Meyer.
