Two Manitowoc women have been sentenced in a federal drug case.
According to Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig, 31-year-old Ashley Schroeder was ordered to spend four years in prison followed by eight years on extended supervision, while 34-year-old Amanda Adelmann will spend four years in prison and six years on extended supervision.
The Manitowoc Metro Drug Investigators had been conducting surveillance on Schroeder, and conducted interviews which revealed that she was driving down to Milwaukee to get fentanyl and bringing it back to the Manitowoc area for distribution.
It is estimated that she bought between 300 and 800 grams of the powerful synthetic opioid two to three times a week.
Adelmann was also identified as a co-conspirator, and multiple Milwaukee area fentanyl suppliers were also arrested.
Sheriff Hartwig also noted that Metro Drug was assisted by the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigations, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Greenfield Police Department, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
