A Republican at the Wisconsin State Capitol has a plan to give new parents a little time off.
A proposal by State Representative David Steffen would abolish the sales tax on items like baby wipes, car seats, and diapers.
According to Steffen, he wants to lessen the burden on recent immigrants to Wisconsin.
His proposal is known as the Tiny Tots Tax Cut.
According to Steffen, the tax breaks could help Wisconsin parents save up to $37 million annually.
