Following a shooting at the conclusion of Milwaukee’s Juneteenth celebration, six teenagers are in recovery.
The shooting, according to Milwaukee Police, took place yesterday afternoon just a few blocks from the celebration outside of a church.
According to police, two boys, aged 17 and 19, and four girls, aged 14, 16, 17, and 18, also suffered injuries.
Investigators claim that a fight between two of the girls preceded the shooting.
The Milwaukee Police Department says, the shooter, who is thought to be a 17-year-old, was also injured.
He’s now in police custody.
Milwaukee’s mayor declared that teenager fights should not involve the use of firearms.
