
The Manitowoc County Historical Society is bringing the Heritage Makers Market to the county later this month.
To bring the event to life, the museum received a grant from Travel Wisconsin and Wisconsin Humanities.
Regional Tourism Specialist from Travel Wisconsin, David Spiegelberg, will be at Pinecrest Village in Manitowoc this today (June 16th) at 1:00 p.m. to award a ceremonial check to the museum.
Visitors are welcome to attend and celebrate.
The Heritage Maker’s Market is a weekend of events set to take place Saturday, June 24 from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 25 from 10;00 to 2:00.
The program will feature a variety of different historic artisans including tin type from H.H. Bennett Studio, Brooms by Little John, and different fiber art demonstrations.
Guests will also get the opportunity to make their own “S” hook or bottle opener with the Upper Midwest Blacksmith Association’s “The Other Side of the Anvil” program.
Casey Penn will also take the stage on Saturday from 1 to 3 for an afternoon of Bluegrass tunes.
Food and beverages will be available from Brian’s Smokehouse in Manitowoc.
General admission pricing is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for youth, and children under 4 are free.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time online, or when you arrive.
