The trial for the Eau Claire woman charged with breaking into a Dunn County home is about to begin.
A judge ruled yesterday that there is sufficient evidence to proceed with Megan Dehate’s case. She is 21 years old and was charged with breaking and entering last week in the Town of Dunn.
She allegedly used a piece of metal to strike the resident man in the head, according to the sheriff.
According to investigators, Dehate was probably high at the time.
For hitting the elderly man who lives in the house, she is considering filing burglary and elder abuse charges.
