Eau Claire is the newest community in Wisconsin to have a Narcan vending machine.
Yesterday, the sheriff’s office unveiled their new device.
The vending machine also has fentanyl test strips to ensure that drugs are not contaminated with the lethal substance in addition to Narcan.
People have access to the device every day of the year, according to sheriff Dave Riewestahl, 24 hours a day.
The county’s opioid overdose rate, according to the sheriff, should decrease.
