A Manitowoc man is facing charges, including stalking after he attempted to break into a house.
The Manitowoc Police Department was made aware of the situation at around 9:45 Sunday evening, with the caller giving a detailed description of the perpetrator.
An officer located the suspect a few blocks away, but when he approached, the suspect began to flee.
The Officer, who had K9 Riley with him, ordered the man to stop, which he did when threatened with the deployment of Riley.
When the officers spoke with the victims, they explained that one of the women, the guest in the home, had dated the suspect for about six months, but the two had broken up a few months prior.
The woman noted that the relationship was abusive.
Both women reported that the 24-year-old man demanded his ex-girlfriend leave the house while calling her derogatory names.
He then allegedly broke a window, which is when the women called 911.
A search of the victim’s phone revealed that the man had called the victim 62 times the day before, along with numerous text messages.
He is now facing charges of Stalking, Criminal Damage to Property, Possession of THC, Disorderly Conduct, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
