A couple of road closures have been announced for next week.
An 8.5-mile section of I-43 is set to close Wednesday night (June 14th) at 9:00 p.m.
The closure will affect the stretch between Highway 42 in Sheboygan County and County Highway XX in Manitowoc County.
The closure is due to the construction of a new electric transmission line that will cross the interstate and will be lifted by 5:00 Thursday morning.
Also, on Monday, the 21st Street Bridge spanning the Manitowoc River will be limited to one lane in each direction.
The outer lanes will be closed so crews can conduct some concrete patching on the bridge deck.
Once the outer lanes are done, the inner lanes will be completed.
Then, after a 30-day curing period, the final deck sealing will be conducted.
The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of July.
