The man who was stabbed in a Madison apartment last week is being called a threat to kill his ex.
Terrell Cargile, 39, is being held on a $25,000 bail after the Dane County D.A.’s Office argued for him Tuesday.
According to the police, Cargile broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, tried to convince her to take some pills, and then shot her.
She managed to stab Cargile multiple times despite not being hurt.
The judge noted that Cargile had previously been found guilty of pointing a gun at the same woman in 2017, but he still set Cargile’s bond at $10,000.
According to Madison Police, the ex-spouse of Cargile won’t face charges because the stabbing was done in self-defense.
