A handful of lakeshore area high school baseball teams have a big day ahead with WIAA Sectional games on the docket.
In Division-1, Manitowoc Lincoln plays a sectional semifinal contest against Beaver Dam this morning at 10:00 a.m. at E.J. Schneider Field, on the campus of Oshkosh North.
The second game there pits Watertown and Hartford in a scheduled 1:00 p.m. start, and the winners are to meet at 4:00 with a trip to state on the line.
In Division-2, The two-time defending state champion Denmark Vikings face Notre Dame in the first game Winneconne Sectional at 10 a.m., followed by the Chilton-Waupun contest at 1:00.
The winners then play in the title game at 4:00, with the victor advancing to Grand Chute.
And in Division-3, a pair of EWC neighbors, New Holstein and Kiel, square off in the sectional semifinals in Game-2 at Shiocton High School.
First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m., after the Amherst/Auburndale matchup.
The championship game is (also) scheduled at 4 p.m. to determine a state qualifier.
