Bail is set at $45,000 cash for a 78-year-old Sheboygan man who’s accused of sexually assaulting his grandchild in Manitowoc.
Norman L. Baumann has been charged with two counts of First Degree Sexual assault of a Child, Sexual Intercourse with a Child 16 or older, four counts of 4th Degree Sexual Assault and one count of Exposing Genitals or Intimate Parts.
Additional charges are being forwarded to The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department as two offenses occurred at his residence.
The Manitowoc County Human Services Department filed a report with Child Protective Services late last month noting that Baumann was watching over the child and their two friends.
As they began falling asleep, Baumann allegedly touched all three inappropriately. The report also stated that Baumann would offer his grandchild vapes for sexual favors for nearly three years.
Conditions of bail are that Baumann has “no contact” with the victims or anyone under the age of 18 and he is not to possess any internet device.
He remains in The County Jail with his Initial appearance scheduled for June 12th at 1:30.
