The Appleton Police Department is working with an organization with the goal of getting every bicycle registered.
The partnership is with Bike Index, which is a free-to-use bike registration website that utilizes the power of the biking community to find lost or stolen bicycles.
In a news release, the APD noted that registering your bike ensures if your bike is ever lost or stolen, you’re only one click away from employing the largest network of shops, riders, police organizations, and other anti-theft partners in our community and around the world to keep an eye out for your missing bike.
They also said “Here at the Appleton Police Department we remain dedicated to best serving our community, meeting your needs, and working hard to reunite bikes with bike owners. Bike Index helps us do that quicker and more effectively.”
