A member of the Oshkosh Police Department’s K9 Unit has passed away.
K9 Lando had been with the department since 2018, and recently became ill. He was diagnosed with Myathenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease, and was not responding to treatment.
He was euthanized on Saturday.
Lando was directly responsible for getting numerous drugs off the street, totaling around 10 pounds, and 210 illegally possessed prescription pills, along with several illegal firearms.
A statement from the Department thanked Lando for his work over the past five years, noting “[He] will be greatly missed by everyone in our department.”
