It was a closely contested game all the way through, but in the end, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers fell to the Peoria Chiefs 3-2 Thursday night.
Peoria struck first, notching a pair of runs in the 2nd inning, but the Rattlers would cut the Chief’s lead in half in the bottom of the frame.
Wisconsin would knot it up in front of their home crowd in the 6th, but a high hopper over the mound would drive home the winning run for the Chiefs in the 8th inning.
The loss snaps a two-game win streak for Wisconsin, who fall to 16-31 on the season.
Stiven Cruz will look to get the Rattlers back in the win column tonight at Fox Cities Stadium.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
