The Green Bay Rockers pounded out 12 hits in their 8-2 win last night over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
The majority of the offensive showcase happened in the 2nd inning where four Rockers crossed home plate, and the 5th when 3 more runs scored.
It was a full team effort as every single batter for Green Bay picked up at least one hit, and all but two knocked in a run.
On the mound, the heavy lifting was done by Grayson Walker, who pitched six innings in relief of one-inning starter Jacob Young.
Walker allowed 5 hits and 2 runs, but struck out 8 batters in the process.
The Rockers, who are 4-0 to start the Northwoods League season, are back at home today for the start of a two-game series against the Wausau Woodchucks, who are 3-1 so far.
First pitch at Capital Credit Union Park is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
The Rockers will send Michah Berens to the mound to face Travis Lutz.
