In terms of addressing cases of sexual assault and harassment, Wisconsin lawmakers are getting closer to passing new regulations for the state’s National Guard.
Three pieces of legislation that would define what is and is not acceptable from guardsmen were approved by an Assembly panel yesterday.
The legislation is a response to numerous allegations of sexual misconduct or abuse at Madison’s Air Guard unit.
As part of the plan, Wisconsin would incorporate into state law some regular Army regulations regarding the interactions between officers and enlisted personnel.
