A 22-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car in Kiel.
According to Police Chief Joseph Jeanty, dispatch was informed of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 67 and Persnickety Place just after 10:00 a.m. yesterday (May 31st).
Officers arrived to find the victim with severe injuries, and she was quickly transported to the Kiel Fire Department by EMS, where she was then picked up by a helicopter and flown to a hospital.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, later died from her injuries.
Chief Jeanty said in a news release, “The Kiel Police Department would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the victim.”
No additional information is being released at this time.
