A local veteran organization recently donated $10,000 to Old Glory Honor Flight after hosting a pair of fundraising events.
American Legion Post 477 out of St. Nazianz presented Old Glory Honor Flight Executive Director Diane MacDonald the check, which will help bring twenty veterans to Washington D.C. to see the war memorials.
$9,000 of the donation came from the first annual Tee it Up Fore the Troops Golf Outing at Autumn Ridge.
The remaining $1,000 came from a dart tournament held at Shadows Bar in School Hill.
