The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers appear to have found their groove, as they won their third game in a row last night over the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
The Rattlers used a four-run second inning to propel themselves to an 8-4 win on the road. Eric Brown Jr. led the charge offensively, going 4 for 5 with three RBI while Darrien Miller drove in a pair of runs on his two hits.
The pitching staff worked a solid game as well, with starter Edwin Jimenez picking up the win by going 5 innings while allowing a pair of runs and striking out 5.
Joseph Hernandez came on in relief, allowing just one hit and two runs through three and one-third innings, and Justin King came on in the 9th to close out the win in Cedar Rapids.
The Rattlers are now 14-27 on the season and will look to make it four in a row as they battle the Kernels tonight in game four of their six game series.
Cameron Wagoner will face Marco Raya in a 6:35 p.m. start at PG Cares Field.
