Out of the 78 players taking part in the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship Qualifiers starting today, 43 of them are from Wisconsin, and one is a Manitowoc native.
Manitowoc Lincoln Graduate Robert Gregorski is among the 45 amateurs and 33 professional golfers converging on Stevens Point Country Club and will battle for two qualifying spots and two alternates.
The first set of players will teed off at 9:00 this morning.
There are two other golfers from Green Bay taking part in the event. Mark Hagenbach and Jim McNicoll are scheduled to begin play at 9:27 and 9:54 a.m. respectively while Robert is set to begin play at 10:48 a.m.
Also of note, there are six players from across the pond partaking in the event.
Three come from England, and one each from Australia, Germany, and Paraguay.
