A Manitowoc man and woman were arrested Thursday after they were seen chasing each other through a residential area in their vehicles.
Manitowoc Police were dispatched to the area of Washington, Division, South 16th, and South 10th Street at around 3:30 p.m. when dispatch received a report of a vehicle chasing another while showing a gun.
A witness pointed the officers toward where the vehicles were heading, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle, however, it was determined to have been the wrong one.
While that was happening, a different officer spotted the actual suspects in a parking lot on Jay Street.
The two vehicles were stopped, and three individuals were ordered to get out.
A gun was seen in a truck, but it was determined to have been a fake gun. One person from each vehicle was found to be in possession of marijuana.
It was determined that the two had met earlier in the day at a gas station when the 29-year-old man attempted to sell the 31-year-old woman marijuana.
While she initially said, no, she eventually agreed, and the man took off with her phone and credit card.
The woman then took chase in her vehicle which was actually being driven by her child, whose age was not given.
The woman was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Neglecting a Child, and Possession of THC and Meth, while the man was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Possession of THC.
He is being held on a probation hold.
