Young athletes in Manitowoc County that would like to try a new sport are invited to a Lacrosse clinic next month.
The clinic will be held on Magee Field, located on 36th Street in Two Rivers, on June 14th from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Lacrosse was initially created by the Native Americans in 1859 and was known as stickball.
Teams use sticks with nets on the end to move a ball up and down a field while trying to score on a goal defended by a goaltender.
The clinic will be available to anyone between the ages of 6 and 14, both boys and girls, and is being run by Green Bay Youth Lacrosse.
There is a $10 fee to register.
To sign up, call Stacey Cox at 920-901-7608.
