Two women are facing charges after they were found in possession of drugs at a Manitowoc tanning salon and Shopko Optical.
An officer was dispatched to Shades of Paradise Tanning Salon in the 800 block of South 9th Street when workers informed the Manitowoc Police Department that three women appeared to be under the influence.
The workers said the women were rambling and couldn’t walk straight.
The women left the area, but their vehicle was located in the Shopko Optical parking lot.
When the officer arrived, they located a 28-year-old woman in the vehicle, leaning over with a glass smoking device in her hand.
Two other women exited the store and all three were questioned by police.
A container was located in the vehicle containing marijuana, as was a container with a variety of pills.
One of the women’s purses was also found to be containing a clear crystallized substance, which the woman confirmed to be methamphetamine.
That woman was arrested on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Methamphetamine, and a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug, while one of the other women was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
The third woman was released without being charged.
