Police said that a Burlington adolescent attempted to beat a train on his bike and was killed in the attempt.
According to Burlington Police, junior at the nearby high school Jack Meyers, 16, rode his bike in front of the train yesterday afternoon.
Meyers allegedly tried to cross the rails while disregarding stop arms and flashing lights in Burlington, but was unsuccessful.
