A Manitowoc native who founded and ran the Dramm Corporation has passed away.
Kurt W. Dramm was 85 years old when he died on Tuesday.
Dramm was born and raised in Manitowoc but left briefly to earn a double major at the University of Wisconsin for business and horticulture.
He then used that knowledge to form the Dramm Company with his brother John Peter in 1968.
During Kurt’s 45 years of ownership, The Dramm Corporation grew to a thriving four-segment business: Commercial Greenhouse Equipment, Retail Gardening Products, Drammatic® Organic Fertilizer, and DRAMMwater for greenhouse water treatment systems.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. today (May 19th) at First Lutheran Church, located at 521 N.8th St. in Manitowoc.
Visitation hours are from noon until 1:45 p.m. at the church, and a celebration of his life will be held at The Dramm Corporation’s headquarters at 1425 Dufek Dr. starting at 4:00 p.m.
