
The DATCP has released its list of 21 dairy companies in the state to receive a 2023 Dairy Processor Grant, and four area companies made the cut.
Safety Fresh Foods LLC in Plymouth is getting a portion of the $400,000 total as they invest in waste reduction and innovation.
Scoops Ice Cream in Chilton also made the cut as they invest in expansion and modernization, while Winona Foods, Inc. in Green Bay will invest in a leak detection system.
Also on the list is Rosewood Dairy in Sturgeon Bay, which is using its cut to fund the installation of a wastewater tank.
Since 2014, the DATCP has received 199 dairy processor grant proposals requesting more than $7 million.
The DATCP has funded 106 of those proposals, totaling $2 million.
