The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers may have lost their series finale against the South Bend Cubs Sunday, but they are heading in the right direction.
After the Cubs won the first two games, the Rattlers were able to string together three consecutive wins at Fox Cities Stadium, breaking an 8 game losing streak.
Yesterday’s matchup ended up going 11 innings, thanks to great defensive work behind starting pitcher Cameron Wagoner and relievers Max Lazar, Michele Vassalotti, and Ryan Brady.
Lazar did give up a run in the 7th inning, but Wisconsin struck back when Robert Moore Drove in Eric Brown Jr. to tie it up in the 8th.
It remained tied into the 11th when James Triantos singled in the go-ahead and eventual game-winning run.
The Rattlers will take today off before starting up a six-game home series against the Quad Cities River Bandits on Tuesday.
