Two area semi-pro football teams will be in action this weekend.
The Manitowoc County Mariners are looking to recover from last weekend’s 28-12 loss to the Illinois Cowboys as they square off with the Wisconsin Ravens at Ron Rubick Municipal Field.
Kickoff is at 4:00 p.m. Saturday with military veterans, seniors, and anyone under 10 getting in for free.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County SaberCats will start their season on the road.
They will take On the Central Wisconsin Wolves at Goerke Park Field in Stevens Point.
The SaberCats fell short in their bid to win back-to-back Midwest United Football League Championships last season.
Their first home game is scheduled for June 3rd.
