A mournful day as friends, relatives, and law enforcement colleagues from all over the state bid farewell to a fallen deputy takes place in St. Croix County.
This morning at 9 a.m. in Hudson, the funeral for Deputy Kaitie Leising will get underway.
She will have a public viewing before a formal police memorial service. Leising was shot dead last weekend when pulling a man over for drunk driving.
Deputy Leising is the fourth law enforcement fatality in Wisconsin so far this year.
In just two months, three officers from western Wisconsin have died.
