In an attempt to be more inclusive, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum has announced that tomorrow night (May 11th) is going to be a sensory-friendly evening at the museum.
At the event, which will run from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., guests will have access to the Museum as well as an opportunity to take a sensory-friendly submarine tour.
Loud exhibit sounds will be turned down and sensory backpacks will be available. These backpacks include visual schedules, weighted lap blankets, social narratives, headphones, fidgets, and a communication book.
