The security at Edison Middle School in Green Bay will be a little tighter today after a threat of a shooting was found on social media.
An email sent to parents of students at Edison explains that the Green Bay Area Public School District was made aware of the threat during the 5th-hour class period.
The poster of the threat has been identified, and the threat was deemed not credible.
That being said, additional Green Bay Police Officers will be at the school today out of an abundance of caution.
The School also encouraged students who had anxiety or concerns about the incident to speak to the student services office, and for parents to talk to their children about the consequences involved in posting such a threat.
