The Assembly Speaker of Wisconsin is testing a new tax cut plan.
Republicans will likely have a plan to reduce taxes in the next state budget by the end of the month, according to Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Friday.
Vos expressed interest in a flat tax but doubted that lawmakers could go that far.
Vos won’t specify how much less people will pay under the proposal, but he claims it will change Wisconsin’s income tax system.
By the end of June, Republicans in the legislature hope to have a new two-year state budget completed.
