More people drank more, according to University of Wisconsin researchers, during the coronavirus outbreak.
According to the UW’s School of Medicine and Public Health, a recent poll found that during the epidemic, young adults between the ages of 21 and 40, those who made more money, and those who worked from home, all drank more.
According to the survey, during the first wave of the coronavirus, 23% of participants said they drank more, but as the virus spread, that percentage decreased.
Before the coronavirus, Wisconsin was notorious for its frequent drinking, according to researcher Amy Schultz, and for some people, the epidemic did nothing but exacerbate that.
