
Sizable funding will be given to UW-Eau Claire to study the stars.
The institution will specifically receive a $526,00 National Science Foundation grant to research white dwarf stars.
This summer’s research team will be led by Dr. William Wolf, an assistant professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Using computer models that can be performed by virtually anyone, the goal is to aid with star mapping.
The group will start working this summer.
