
The Roncalli Girls Softball team was a 6-1 winner over visiting Two Rivers. Gretchen Kapic pitched a complete game 5 hitter with 11 strikeouts and only 1 walk. Ellie Jagemann and Jenna Wall had 3 hits apiece to lead the Jets offense. McKenzie Staudinger also drove in a pair of runs with a single. Anna Klein took the loss for the Raiders, who were paced offensively by freshman Piper Engh’s 3 for 4 performance.
At the Citizen Park Youth Sports Complex, Manitowoc Lincoln topped De Pere 6-to-4. Delaney Granger powered the Ships to the victory by going 3 for 3 with two homers and 3 RBI. Kailee Ansorge was 3 for 4, Ana Sanchez went 2 for 4 and Natalie Lehman added 2 hits including a double and an RBI. Winning pitcher Karenna Sorenson had to exit the game with 1 out in the 7th after being struck with a batted ball. Olivia Konkle came on with the bases loaded and induced 2 groundouts to get the save.
Mishicot improves to 11 and 1 overall after posting a pair of shutout victories at Howards Grove. Game 1 went to the Indians 10-nothing in 5 innings on a one hitter by Cora Stodola. Emma Schmidt was 2 for 3 with an RBI and 3 runs scored while Cora Nelson added 2 hits and 3 RBI and Kaelin Adair went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. In Game-2, the Indians scored ‘13’ runs in the 4th inning to finish off a 15-nothing win. Kiran Sanford gets the victory on a one hitter with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Cora Nelson and Karsyn Krause combined for 7 runs batted in and teammates Emma Schmidt and Cora Stodola chipped in a pair of hits and 5 runs scored.
