After falling just short of a league championship last year, the Manitowoc County Mariners will start their 2023 campaign this weekend.
The Mariners, who are a part of the Northern Lights Football League, ended last season with a record of 8-2, but fell in the NLFL Championship game to the River City RoughRiders 41-0.
The season will begin at Ron Rubick Municipal Field, located at 2200 Grand Avenue in Manitowoc, on Saturday (May 6th).
The Illinois Cowboys will be in town with kick-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
General admission is $8, but veterans, seniors, and anyone under 10 gets in for free.
Gates will open at 5:00 p.m.
