
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have now lost seven of their last eight games following yesterday’s 6-2 loss to the Peoria Chiefs.
Starting Pitcher Cameron Wagoner struggled on the mound, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits through just over 2 innings of work.
Reliever Michele Vassalotti came on and slowed the bleeding, but also gave up a run in the 4th inning.
In total, Wisconsin pitchers gave up 10 hits while striking out 9 batters and walking 4.
Offensively, Wisconsin notched five hits and scored their only runs of the game in the 8th inning thanks to a two-run homerun off the bat of Terence Doston.
The Rattlers and Chiefs will square off in game three of their six-game set tonight in Peoria.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at Dozer Park.
The Rattlers’ Stivin Cruz will look to continue his successful start to the season against Trent Baker.
