Charges have been filed following a fatal fire in Taylor County back in January.
Formal accusations were brought against 50-year-old Matthew Zarins Wednesday.
He is accused of conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine, murder through careless handling of a deadly weapon, and numerous other narcotics offenses.
He was allegedly using his residence in the Town of Maplehurst to produce meth when it caught fire, according to the prosecution.
The fire claimed the life of a woman who was in the house.
Although Zarins admitted to smoking meth, he claimed not to be a maker.
