
Charges have now officially been filed against a Fond du Lac County man who crashed his car into a Verizon store last week.
20-year-old Benjamin Ayer is facing eight counts of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety as well as one count each of Injury by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle, Causing Injury While Under the Influence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and THC.
Ayer was allegedly huffing air duster before his car left the roadway on Rolling Meadows Drive near Walmart and smashed through the glass showroom of the Verizon cell phone store.
Several customers were in the store at the time, including a woman who got pinned between the car and the counter.
She suffered numerous broken bones and was among four others and Ayer who were taken to hospitals, one with life-threatening injuries.
Ayer is due back in court on May 12th for his preliminary hearing with Judge Laura Lavey.
