The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were able to salvage one game in their week-long series against the Beloit Sky Carp Saturday by a score of 4-3.
Both teams plated a pair of runs through the first 9 innings, and with a runner starting on second base, the Carp were able to move him to third with a ground out, and bring the runner home on another grounder.
Then, Michal Bello stepped to the plate for Wisconsin and drove in the tying run.
The Rattlers would load the bases before Joe Grey Jr. would hit a sacrifice fly to left field to bring home Bello and secure the win.
The win improved Wisconsin’s record to 8-12, but Sunday’s matchup was canceled due to rain.
The Rattlers will take today off before packing up and traveling to Peoria Illinois for a six-game set against the Chiefs.
Peoria currently holds a half-game lead over the Rattlers in the Midwest League standings.
The Carp hold the top spot, 6 games ahead of the last-place Rattlers.
