A change is coming to the Manitowoc County Recycling Center.
According to Jon Reisenbuechler, the Operations Manager for the center, the County Compost Sites will begin requiring a permit for contractors and businesses to use the Basswood and Woodland Compost Sites for dropping off residentially sourced yard materials starting May 1st.
This includes any landscape maintenance, tree trimming/removal, or other hauling companies serving residential property owners in Manitowoc County.
Commercial materials will be charged a rate of $30/Ton, based off the net weight at our truck scale, there will be a $5/Load minimum charge, which equates to roughly 333 lbs.
This fee does not apply to normal yard materials generated from residential properties in Manitowoc County.
