The skid continues for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers as they fell to the Beloit Sky Carp yesterday afternoon 7-4.
The matchup started off looking like an offensive showdown with both teams plating four runs across the firs two innings.
Rattler pitcher Cameron Wagoner gave up a fifth run in the fourth before being pulled, but the Rattler bats went silent and could never knot it up.
The Carp added two insurance runs in the 9th off reliever Michele Vassalotti and secured the win at Fox Cities Stadium.
Wagoner took the loss while at the plate, Jose Acosta picked up three hits, including a double and a triple, and reached home twice.
Joe Grey Jr. put two balls in play as well, while the rest of the team only had three hits combined.
The Rattlers will try to get back on the winning track today in game four of their six game set with Beloit.
The Rattlers’ Stiven Cruz will face Edgar Sanchez in a 6:40 p.m. start.
