The congressman from Western Wisconsin is criticizing the Biden Administration for its handling of the Sudanese civil war.
Derrick Van Orden, a Republican congressman, claimed last Wednesday on Twitter that the president is forsaking 16,000 Americans in Sudan as the nation descends into civil conflict.
In a conflict zone, Van Order claimed that President Biden evacuated government workers while “leaving the everyday Americans to fend for themselves.”
Over the weekend, a portion of the American embassy staff was evacuated.
It was described as “repulsive” and “Afghanistan 2.0” by Van Orden.
