Monday marked the first anniversary of the tragic death of Lily Peters in the Chippewa Valley.
Friends and family celebrated the anniversary.
While incarcerated, the adolescent accused of raping and killing Peters is awaiting trial.
According to the D.A., the trial date is not imminent; in fact, the case’s next hearing isn’t set until later this summer.
The outcome of that hearing will determine whether the youngster is tried as an adult or as a juvenile.
